Ramakrishna Math and Ramakrishna Mission, Karimganj

The Mission centre was started in 1917 and taken over in 1929.

Activities of Mission centre:

• A dispensary with a physiotherapy section and a diagnostic centre.
• A mobile medical unit.
• Four units of Gadadhar Abhyudaya Prakalpa and coaching centres.
• A vocational training centre offering courses in tailoring.
• A students’ home.
• A public library.
• Welfare activities: Providing pecuniary and educational aid, clothes and winter garments.

The Math centre was founded in 1949.

Activities of Math centre:

• Daily worship, religious classes and celebration of Durga Puja, Kali Puja and the birth anniversaries of the Holy Trio and other prophets.
