Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Aurangabad

Sri Ramakrishna Vivekananda Seva Samiti, Aurangabad, was started in 1983. Subsequently, it was renamed Sri Ramakrishna Ashrama. It became a branch of the Ramakrishna Mission in 2005 and is since then known as ‘Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama’

Activities:

  • A dispensary with allopathic, homeopathic, and ayurvedic sections.
  • A mobile medical unit.
  • A medical camp.
  • A coaching centre.
  • A public library.
  • Eleven mobile book stall units (Vivekananda Jnana Rath) across the state of Maharashtra.
  • Religious activities: Daily worship, weekly classes, spiritual retreats, lectures in and around the city, and celebration of the birthdays of the Holy Trio and other religious festivals.
  • Welfare work: Monthly distribution of ration kits.

Pardari rural centre: Situated at 15 km from the main ashrama campus, this centre conducts the following activities:

  • Values education classes and personality development classes.
  • Study room facility.
  • Agricultural awareness camps and distribution of tree saplings.
  • Spiritual retreats.
