Ramakrishna Math and Ramakrishna Mission Sevashrama, Bankura

The Math centre was started in 1917.

Activities of the Math centre:

• A public library 
• Religious activities: Daily worship, religious classes, celebration of the birthdays of the Holy Trio, and other religious festivals.

Sub-centre at Kalpathar: This sub-centre of Ramakrishna Math, Bankura, was established in 2003. Religious activities like daily worship, arati, fortnightly Ramnam Sankirtan, spiritual retreats, and celebration of the birthdays of the Holy Trio and other religious luminaries are conducted here.

The Mission centre was started in 1932.

Activities of the Mission centre:

• A junior basic school.
• A kindergarten.
• Four coaching centres.
• A public library.
  
• A dispensary with allopathy, homeopathy and eye sections.
• Two mobile medical units and eye camps.
• Welfare activities: Providing clothes, blankets and educational aid.

Sub-centre at Kenduadihi: Ramakrishna Mission Sevashrama, Kenduadihi, was started in 2009.

Activities:

• A public library mainly for college students.
• A coaching centre where students are also served free meals.
