Ramakrishna Mission Calcutta Students’ Home, Belgharia, Kolkata

Started elsewhere in Kolkata in 1916, the centre, after moving to several places in Kolkata has been located at Belgharia since 1954.

Activities:

• A hostel for underprivileged and meritorious college students with a library and prayer hall. 
• Shilpapitha, a government-sponsored polytechnic that offers three- year diploma courses in civil, mechanical, electrical, and electronics & telecommunication engineering. 
• A public library.
  
• Two blood donation camps.
• Three units of Gadadhar Abhyudaya Prakalpa.
• Celebration of major religious festivals and the birthdays of  the Holy Trio.
• Welfare works.

Sub-centre:

Swami Vijnananda Smriti Bhawan: This is located at the site of the ancestral house of Swami Vijnanananda, a monastic disciple of Sri Ramakrishna.

Activities: Daily worship and religious classes.
