Ramakrishna Math, Cooch Behar

Formerly known as Sri Ramakrishna Ashrama, this centre was started in 1937 in East Bengal (now Bangladesh) and moved to its present premises in 1949. It was made a branch of the Ramakrishna Math in 2003.

Activities:

1. An allopathic-cum-homeopathic dispensary, including a cleft lip medical camp.

2. A students’ home for boys.

3. A vocational training unit in tailoring for women.

4. A computer training centre.

5. A unit of Gadadhar Abhyudaya Prakalpa (GAP).

6. A unit of Vivekananda Abhyudaya Prakalpa (VAP).

7. Values education programmes for school and college students.

8. Study circles for youth and a Balak Sangha for school children.

9. A public library.

10. Welfare activities, including distribution of winter clothes and pecuniary aid.

11. Celebration of Durga Puja.
