The ashrama was started in 1920. It officially became a branch centre of the Ramakrishna Math in 1997.
Activities:
- Two units of Gadadhar Abhyudaya Prakalpa.
- A computer training centre.
- A public library.
- A homeopathic dispensary.
- Welfare activities: Providing food, clothes, winter garments and pecuniary and educational aid.
- Religious activities: Daily worship, Ramnam Sankirtan on Ekadashi days, religious discourses, celebration of the birth anniversaries of the Holy Trio and spiritual luminaries, and major religious festivals.
