Ramakrishna Math, Ghatshila

Founded in 1935 as Ramakrishna-Vivekananda Ashrama, the centre was made a branch of the Ramakrishna Math in 2004.

Activities:

• An allopathic-cum-homeopathic dispensary.
• A mobile medical unit and Eye camps.
• A physiotherapy unit.
• Two units of Gadadhar Abhyudaya Prakalpa and a unit of Vivekananda Abhyudaya Prakalpa.
• A computer training centre.
• Religious activities: Daily worship, Ramnam Sankirtan on Ekadashi days, and scriptural classes.
• Celebration of the birth anniversaries of the Holy Trio and other religious teachers, and major religious festivals.
• Welfare activities: Providing food, winter garments, and pecuniary, medical and educational assistance.
