Ramakrishna Mission, Indore

Ramakrishna Ashram, Indore, was started in 1957 and it became a branch of the Mission in 1999. The centre is since then known as ‘Ramakrishna Mission’.

Activities:

1. A higher secondary school (LKG to class 12).

2. A unit of Gadadhar Abhyudaya Prakalpa.

3. A physiotherapy clinic.

4. Publication of a Hindi monthly Ashramvani (42nd year).

5. A Yuvak Sangha and a Balak Sangha.

6. Religious activities: Daily worship, weekly classes, occasional lectures, and celebration of the birthdays of the Holy Trio and other spiritual luminaries.

7. Welfare activities: Providing blankets and clothes to needy people, pecuniary and educational aid to needy students, and infrastructural support to government schools.

8. A monastic retreat centre (Ramakrishna Mission Sadhana Kutir) at Omkareshwar, 80 km from Indore.
