Sri Ramakrishna Vivekananda Society, the precursor of this centre, was started in 1978. It was made a branch of the Mission in 1988 and renamed ‘Ramakrishna Mission’.
Activities:
- An allopathic-cum-homeopathic dispensary with ophthalmology & orthopaedics departments.
- A mobile medical unit.
- A medical camp.
- Balak Sangha, a cultural unit.
- A public library and reading rooms.
- Religious activities: Daily worship and bhajans, weekly religious discourses, fortnightly Ramnam Sankirtan, celebration of major religious festivals and the birthdays of the Holy Trio and other spiritual luminaries.
- Welfare activities: Providing winter garments.
