Ramakrishna Advaita Ashrama, Kalady

The ashrama was started in 1936 and made a branch of the Math in 1941.

Activities:

• A higher secondary school (class 11 & 12).
• A secondary school (class 8 to 10).
• A Sanskrit upper primary school (class 5 to 7).
• A junior basic school (class 1 to 4).
• A nursery school.
• A students’ home.
• A public library.
• Values education programmes like personality development workshops, youth conventions and teachers’ seminars.
• A community centre at Mattoor with the following activities:
• A public library for children.
• • A computer centre.
  • A typewriting centre.
• Welfare activities: Providing pecuniary, educational and medical aid.
• Religious activities: Daily worship, religious discourses, occasional spiritual retreats, celebration of the birthdays of the Holy Trio and other spiritual luminaries and major religious festivals.
• Pandupura: This rural unit, situated 15 km away from the main centre, maintains rubber plantation and does agricultural activities on 33 acres of land.

Muvattupuzha sub-centre: Situated 35 km away from the main centre, this sub-centre conducts daily worship and satsangs.
