Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Katihar

The ashrama was started in 1926 and made a branch of the Mission in 1931.
Activities:

1. A secondary school (class 3 to 10), affiliated to CBSE.

2. A junior basic school (nursery to class 2).

3. A hostel.

4. Three units of Gadadhar Abhyudaya Prakalpa.

5. A dispensary.

6. A mobile dispensary.

7. Religious activities: Daily worship, Ramnam Sankirtan on Ekadashi days, religious lectures, spiritual retreats, and celebration of the birthdays of the Holy Trio and other major festivals.

8. Welfare activities: Providing pecuniary aid, medical and educational assistance and winter garments.
