Ramakrishna Math and Ramakrishna Mission, Mangaluru

The Math centre was founded in 1947 and moved to its present premises in 1951.

Activities:

1. Daily worship and bhajans, fortnightly Ramnam Sankirtan.

2. Weekly lectures at various locations and in online mode.

3. Balavrinda, a Sunday school.

4. Values education programmes, yoga and meditation classes, and other cultural programmes.

5. Religious activities: Daily worship & bhajans, Ramnam Sankirtan on Ekadashi days, religious classes, occasional spiritual retreats, and celebration of the birthdays of the Holy Trio.

The Mission centre was started in 1951.

Activities:

1. A boys’ home.

2. A public library with 9808 books and 15 periodicals.

3. A coaching centre that serves daily tiffin.

4. A unit of Gadadhar Abhyudaya Prakalpa.

5. Yoga & meditation classes and values education programmes.

6. Five cleanliness drives and awareness campaigns.

7. Welfare work: Provided pecuniary and educational aid.
