Ramakrishna Mission Sevashrama, Muzaffarpur

Founded in 1926 under the name Ramakrishna Vivekananda Sevashrama, the centre was made a branch of the Ramakrishna Mission in July 2003. Since then it is known as Ramakrishna Mission Sevashrama.

Activities:

1. An eye hospital (started in 1947) with 30 beds, offering allopathy, homeopathy, eye, dental, gynaecology, and physiotherapy services.

2. Twelve eye camps.

3. A vocational training centre for training girls in tailoring.

4. A coaching centre.

5. A study circle for youths.

6. Welfare activities: Distribution of clothes, blankets, and ration kits.

7. Religious activities: Religious classes, spiritual retreats, Kali Puja, and celebration of the birthdays of the Holy Trio and other religious festivals.
