Ramakrishna Mission, Port Blair

The centre was started in 1961 and made a branch of the Ramakrishna Mission in 1992.

Activities:

  • A vocational training centre with cutting, tailoring and embroidery courses.
  • A coaching centre with school-going rural students.
  • A study circle.
  • A computer training centre.
  • A public library.
  • Religious activities: Daily worship, regular religious classes and discourses, Japa yajnas, and celebration of major festivals and the birthdays of the Holy Trio and other spiritual luminaries.
  • Welfare activities: Providing food, clothes and educational and pecuniary aid.
