Ramakrishna Math, Pune

Vivekananda Society was started in Pune in 1927 and renamed Ramakrishna Ashram in 1957. It was made a branch centre of the Ramakrishna Math in 1984 and is since then known as ‘Ramakrishna  Math’.

Activities:

  • An allopathic-cum-homeopathic dispensary with a TB clinic.
  • A mobile medical unit.
  • Dental camps.
  • A computer training centre.
  • Three units of Gadadhar Abhyudaya Prakalpa.
  • Balak Sangha, a cultural and recreational centre.
  • A public library.
  • Religious activities: Daily worship, fortnightly Ramnam Sankirtan, religious lectures, spiritual retreats, and celebration of the birthdays of the Holy Trio and major religious festivals.
