Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Puri

Started by the local devotees in 1925, the ashrama was taken over by Ramakrishna Mission in 1944.

Activities:

1. A students’ home with tribal students, who are also given training in computer operations.

2. Six coaching centres.

3. A public library with 27,636 books and 49 periodicals.

4. Four units of Gadadhar Abhyudaya Prakalpa.

5. A computer centre.

6. A mobile medical unit.

7. Welfare activities: Providing food, clothes, blankets and educational aid.
