The centre was started in 1953 at the birthplace of Swami Niranjanananda, a monastic disciple of Sri Ramakrishna, and was made a branch of the Ramakrishna Math in 2008.

Activities:

  1. A vocational training centre offering training in tailoring.
  2. A unit of Gadadhar Abhyudaya Prakalpa.
  3. A public library.
  4. A homeopathic dispensary.
  5. Welfare activities: Distribution of ration kits, mosquito nets, clothes and blankets.
  6. Celebration of the birthday of Swami Niranjanananda.
