Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Ramharipur

Bankura centre started some educational activities at Ramharipur, a village 32 km away, in the late 1940s. Over the years, these activities grew, and a full-fledged branch of the Mission was started at Ramharipur in 1966.

Activities :

1. A higher secondary school (class 5 to 12).
2. A primary school (class 1 to 5).
3. A hostel for boys.
4. Nine coaching centres (class 1 to 6).
5. Seven coaching centres (class 7 to 9).
6. Seven units of Gadadhar Abhyudaya Prakalpa.
7. An allopathic-cum-homeopathic dispensary.
8. Welfare activities: Providing milk & tiffin, clothes, blankets, pecuniary, medical and educational aid, and house repair assistance.

Sub-centre at Amarkanan:

Amarkanan Sri Ramakrishna Sevadal Ashrama was founded in 1924. It was taken over by the Ramakrishna Mission in 2020, renamed ‘Ramakrishna Mission’ and made a sub-centre of Ramharipur centre.

Activities :

1. A hostel for boys.
2. Twelve medical camps.
3. Welfare activities: Distribution of clothes and shawls.
