The centre was started in 1904 and made an affiliate of the Ramakrishna Mission in 1911.
Activities:

1. A hostel.

2. A library.

3. A homeopathic dispensary.

4. A computer training centre.

5. An audio-visual unit, which screened religious and educational films.

6. Religious activities: Daily worship, weekly religious classes, occasional discourses, and celebration of the birthdays of the Holy Trio and other religious luminaries and festivals.
