The centre was started in 1904 and made a branch of the Ramakrishna Mission in 1911.
Activities:
- A students’ hostel.
- A library.
- A homeopathic dispensary and Eye camps.
- A computer training centre.
- An audio-visual unit which screened religious and educational films.
- Daily worship and celebration of the birthdays of the Holy Trio and other religious personalities and major religious festivals.
- Weekly religious classes and occasional discourses in the centre and elsewhere.
- Welfare works.
