Ramakrishna Ashrama and Ramakrishna Mission, Dinajpur

The Ashrama (Math centre) was started in 1923 and made an affiliate of the Ramakrishna Math a few years later.
Activities:

1. A students’ home.

2. A library.

3. Publication of books.

4. A computer training centre.

5. An allopathic-cum-homeopathic dispensary and mobile medical units.

6. Vivekananda-Siksha-O-Sanskrita-Parishad, a cultural centre for students.

7. Provided scholarships.

8. Religious activities: Daily worship, bhajans, Ramnam Sankirtan, weekly religious classes, retreats, discourses, and celebration of the birthdays of the Holy Trio and other religious festivals.

The Mission centre was started in 1942 but had to be closed in 1964. It was started again in 1990.
Activities:

1. Two primary schools.

2. Support to Grameen Shiksha Prakalpa coaching centres.

3. Welfare activities: Providing food, clothing, blankets, winter garments, and pecuniary help.
