Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Gwalior

‘Ramakrishna Ashrama’ in Gwalior was started in 1959. In 2016, the Ramakrishna Mission took over the Ashrama and renamed it ‘Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama’.
Activities:

1. A higher secondary school (Nursery to class 12), affiliated to CBSE.

2. Sarada Nad Mandir, a music school, affiliated to Raja Mansingh Tomar Music & Arts University, Gwalior.

3. Roshni, a rehabilitation centre for physically and mentally challenged students, providing speech, hearing, physiotherapy, occupational therapy and early intervention services.

4. A public library with 8998 books and 14 periodicals.

5. Values education programmes, educational seminars, yoga camps, cultural competitions, etc.

6. Religious activities included celebration of the birth anniversaries of the Holy Trio, Durga Puja and Kali Puja, and other major religious festivals.

Activities on the Sarada Balgram campus (2.5 km away from the main campus):

1. A students’ home.

2. A higher secondary school (KG to class 12), affiliated to Madhya Pradesh Board of Secondary Education.

3. An alternative therapy clinic (AYUSH), medical camps and a dental camp.

4. Kargil Park (a war memorial park), an organic farm, a herbal garden, and a dairy.

5. A vocational training centre offering training in dairy, agriculture, mushroom cultivation, vermicomposting, crop husbandry, food processing, tailoring, etc.
