Ramakrishna Mission, Rourkela

Started in 1978 as Sri Ramakrishna Sangha, this ashrama is surrounded by beautiful tribal villages of Sundargarh district. It was made a branch centre of the Mission in 2019 and renamed ‘Ramakrishna Mission’.

Activities:

1. A coaching centre.

2. Jnana-Yatra, an audio-visual unit to conduct values education programmes, career counselling programmes, and motivational camps for rural students.

3. A computer training centre.

4. Welfare activities: Providing clothes and pecuniary aid.

5. Religious activities: Daily worship, Ramnam Sankirtan on Ekadashi days, religious discourses, and celebration of the birth anniversaries of the Holy Trio and other religious festivals.
