Ramakrishna Mission, Somsar

Somsar Ramakrishna Seva Mandir, located at the birthplace of Swami Bhuteshananda, the 12th President of the Ramakrishna Math and Ramakrishna Mission, was founded in 1996. It was taken over by the Ramakrishna Mission in 2021 and renamed ‘Ramakrishna Mission’.

Activities:

• Two units of Gadadhar Abhyudaya Prakalpa.
• A homeopathic dispensary.
• Eye and general medical camps.
• Welfare activities: Daily nutrition programme for children; distribution of clothes, blankets and winter garments.
• Religious activities: Daily worship, religious discourses, occasional spiritual retreats, and celebration of the birthdays of the Holy Trio,  and other religious festivals.
