Ramakrishna Advaita Ashrama, Varanasi

Started by Swami Shivananda, a monastic disciple of Sri Ramakrishna, in 1902, this ashrama has for long served as a retreat for the aged monks of our order.

Activities:

1. A public library with 22,760 books and 24 periodicals.
2. Religious activities: Daily worship and bhajans and religious lectures.
3. Celebration of the birthdays of the Holy Trio and other religious festivals.
4. Welfare work by way of providing clothes, blankets, and pecuniary and educational assistance.
