Ramakrishna Kutir, Almora

Founded in 1916 by Swamis Shivananda and Turiyananda, monastic disciples of Sri Ramakrishna, this centre serves mainly as a spiritual retreat.

Activities:

1. A public library with books and periodicals.

2. Religious activities: Daily worship, religious lectures, and celebration of major religious festivals and the birthdays of the Holy Trio.

3. Welfare work: Providing medical, educational and pecuniary aid, ration kits and winter garments.
