Sri Ramakrishna Vivekananda Centre, Ahmedabad, was founded in 1988. In 2018, it was taken over by the Math and renamed ‘Ramakrishna Math’. The ashrama functioned as a sub-centre of the Math’s branch in Rajkot until 2022, when it was made a full-fledged branch.
Activities:
- A mobile medical dispensary.
- Vivek Vihar which conducts weekly values education classes for children, and a study circle for youths.
- Welfare work: Distribution of food and ration kits.
- Religious activities: Daily worship, fortnightly Ramnam Sankirtan, weekly discourses, satsangs, spiritual retreats, and celebration of the birthdays of the Holy Trio and other spiritual personalities, as also other festivals.
