Ramakrishna Math, Ahmedabad

Sri Ramakrishna Vivekananda Centre, Ahmedabad, was founded in 1988. It was taken over by the Ramakrishna Math in 2018 and renamed accordingly. It was functioning as a sub-centre of Ramakrishna Ashrama, Rajkot, from 2018. The centre is upgraded to the status of a full-fledged branch centre in December 2021.

Activities:

1. Values education classes for children at the centre and elsewhere.
2. A study circle for the youth.
3. Welfare work by way of feeding poor people and distribution of clothes.
4. Religious activities: Daily evening prayer, fortnightly Ramanam Sankirtan, celebration of the birth anniversaries of Sri Ramakrishna, Holy Mother Sri Sarada Devi, Swami Vivekananda and other spiritual luminaries and festivals like Ramanavami, Janmashtami, Shivaratri and Christmas Eve, religious discourses and lectures in the centre as well as at other places in Ahmedabad.
