Ramakrishna Math and Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Malda

The Math centre was started in 1924.

Activities of the Math centre:

• Religious activities: Daily worship & bhajans, scriptural classes & lectures, Ramnam Sankirtan on Ekadashi days, spiritual retreats, and celebration of the birthdays of the Holy Trio, Durga Puja, Kali Puja and other religious festivals.
• A public library.
• Welfare work: Feeding the poor.

The Mission centre was opened in 1942.

Activities of the Mission centre:

• A higher secondary school (class 5 to 12).
• A primary school (nursery to class 4).
• A primary school (nursery to class 4) in rural area.
• A students’ hostel.
• Coaching centres.
• Two units of Gadadhar Abhyudaya Prakalpa.
• A dispensary.
• A mobile medical unit.
• A cleft lip camp.
• Welfare activities: Providing groceries, food and pecuniary, medical and educational assistance.
