Ramakrishna Math and Ramakrishna Mission, Mangaluru

The Math centre was founded in 1947 and moved to its present premises in 1951.

Activities of the Math centre:

• Daily worship and bhajans, fortnightly Ramnam Sankirtan.
• Weekly lectures at various locations and in online mode.
• Balavrinda, a Sunday school.
• Values education programmes, classical music concerts and religious classes.
• Celebration of the birthdays of the Holy Trio and other spiritual luminaries.

The Mission centre was started in 1951.

Activities of the Mission centre:

• A boys’ home.
• A public library.
• A coaching centre.
• A unit of Gadadhar Abhyudaya Prakalpa.
• Yoga & meditation classes, and a camp for children.
• Developing and maintaining Miyawaki forests in urban localities.
• Welfare work: Provided pecuniary and educational aid.
