Ramakrishna Math and Ramakrishna Mission, Rajamahendravaram

The Math centre was started in 1951.
Activities:

1. Religious activities: Daily worship and bhajans, religious discourses, spiritual retreats, and celebration of the birthdays of the Holy Trio and other religious teachers.
2. A public library with 11,907 books and 15 periodicals.

The Mission centre was founded in 1954.
Activities:

1. An allopathic-cum-homeopathic dispensary.
2. A mobile medical unit serving tribal communities.
3. Twenty-four eye camps and nine general medical camps.
4. A unit of Vivekananda Abhyudaya Prakalpa.
5. A Balak Sangha.
6. A vocational training centre offering computer and spoken English courses.
7. Values education programmes, summer classes, cultural competitions, and conventions for youths and devotees.
8. Welfare activities: Providing food, blankets, clothes, and pecuniary, medical and educational assistance.
