Ramakrishna Math and Ramakrishna Mission, Sribhumi (Karimganj)

The Math centre was founded in 1949.

Activities:

1. Welfare activities: Providing ration kits, pecuniary help, medical and educational aid.
2. Celebration of Durga Puja and Kali Puja.

The Mission centre was started in 1917 and taken over in 1929.

Activities:

1. An allopathic-cum-homeopathic dispensary.

2. Ninety-six medical camps.

3. Four units of Gadadhar Abhyudaya Prakalpa, and three coaching centres.

4. A vocational training centre offering courses in tailoring.

5. A students’ home.

6. Welfare activities: Providing pecuniary and medical help.
