Ramakrishna Math and Ramakrishna Mission Vivekananda Memorial, Vadodara

The Mission centre was started in 2005 on Dilaram Bungalow premises, a place sanctified by the stay of Swami Vivekananda in 1892.

Activities of the Mission Centre:

  • A public library.
  • Values education programmes.
  • A coaching centre.
  • A computer training centre.
  • A dispensary.
  • A mobile medical unit.
  • Eye camps treated 1303 patients and facilitated 247 cataract operations.
  • A study circle.
  • Bal Sanskar Kendras.
  • Welfare activities: Providing ration kits, clothes and educational aid.
  • Religious activities: Daily prayers, fortnightly Ramnam Sankirtan, religious discourses, and celebration of the birthdays of the Holy Trio and other religious festivals.

The Math  centre was started in January 2007 at Kalali, Vadodara (7 km from the Mission centre).

Activities of the Math Centre:

  • A coaching centre.
  • A vocational training centre offering courses in tailoring and mud work.
  • A Bal Sanskar Kendra.
  • Eye camps.
  • Religious activities: Daily worship, Ramnam Sankirtan, religious discourses, bhajan sandhyas, spiritual retreats, and celebration of the birthdays of the Holy Trio and other religious festivals.
