Ramakrishna Sevashram, Bamunmura, was founded in 1963. After it was taken over by the Ramakrishna Math in 2007, its name was changed to ‘Ramakrishna Math’. The centre functioned as a sub-centre of Ramakrishna Math, Barasat, until 2015 when it became a full-fledged branch.
Activities:
- A primary school.
- A library with 1747 books.
- A charitable homeopathic-cum-allopathic dispensary.
- Two units of Gadadhar Abhyudaya Prakalpa.
- Daily worship, religious discourses, and celebration of the birthdays of Sri Ramakrishna, Holy Mother Sri Sarada Devi, Swami Vivekananda and other religious luminaries.
- Welfare work by way of giving food, clothes, pecuniary help, etc to the poor.
