Ramakrishna Math, Bamunmura

Ramakrishna Sevashrama, Bamunmura, was founded in 1963. After it was taken over by Ramakrishna Math in 2007, its name was changed to ‘Ramakrishna Math’. The centre functioned as a sub-centre of Ramakrishna Math, Barasat, until it became a full-fledged branch in 2015.

Activities:

• A public library
• A homeopathic-cum-allopathic dispensary
• Eye camps
• Two units of Gadadhar Abhyudaya Prakalpa
• A non-formal education centre.
• Religious activities: Daily worship, religious discourses, occasional spiritual retreats, and celebration of the birthdays of the Holy Trio and other religious luminaries, and major religious festivals.
• Welfare activities: Providing pecuniary and medical aid.
