Ramakrishna Math, Ghatshila

Founded in 1935 as Ramakrishna-Vivekananda Ashrama, it was made a branch of the Ramakrishna Math in 2004.

Activities:

1. An allopathic-cum-homeopathic dispensary.
2. A mobile medical unit and twelve eye camps.
3. A physiotherapy unit.
4. Two units of Gadadhar Abhyudaya Prakalpa and a unit of Vivekananda Abhyudaya Prakalpa.
5. A computer training centre.
6. Cultural activities: A study circle, values education programmes, summer camp, cultural competitions, etc.
7. Religious activities: Daily worship, Ramnam Sankirtan on Ekadashi days, and scriptural classes.
8. Celebration of the birth anniversaries of the Holy Trio and other religious teachers, and major religious festivals.
9. Welfare activities: Providing food, blankets, pecuniary, medical and educational assistance.
