Founded in 1935 as Ramakrishna-Vivekananda Ashrama, the centre was made a branch of the Ramakrishna Math in 2004.
Activities:
- An allopathic-cum-homeopathic dispensary.
- A mobile medical unit and Eye camps.
- A physiotherapy unit.
- Two units of Gadadhar Abhyudaya Prakalpa and a unit of Vivekananda Abhyudaya Prakalpa.
- A computer training centre.
- Religious activities: Daily worship, Ramnam Sankirtan on Ekadashi days, and scriptural classes.
- Celebration of the birth anniversaries of the Holy Trio and other religious teachers, and major religious festivals.
- Welfare activities: Providing food, winter garments, and pecuniary, medical and educational assistance.
