Ramakrishna Math, Ichapur

A group of devotees formed, around 1970, Sri Ramakrishna-Ramakrishnananda Trust at Ichapur, Hooghly, the birthplace of Swami Ramakrishnananda (a monastic disciple of Sri Ramakrishna). The management of the Trust was taken over by the Ramakrishna Math and a branch was opened there in 1994.

Activities:

1. Gadadhar Abhyudaya Prakalpa (GAP): Two units

2. Coaching centres: Seven centres

3. Homeopathic-cum-allopathic dispensary and TB clinic

4. Medical camps: Two general camps, one eye camp, and one dental camp

5. Public library

6. Welfare activities: Providing pecuniary, medical and educational assistance
