Ramakrishna Math, Nagpur

In 1927, Swami Shivananda, a direct disciple of Sri Ramakrishna, laid the foundation and the centre started functioning from 1928.

Activities:

1. Publication of Ramakrishna-Vivekananda literature in Hindi and Marathi. Total number of titles: 582.

2. Publication of the Marathi monthly Jivan Vikas (68th year).

3. A public library with 59,153 books and 64 periodicals.

4. A students’ home.

5. A dispensary.

6. A homeopathic dispensary at Indora, a backward locality.

7. A physiotherapy clinic.

8. A mobile medical unit.

9. Four eye camps.

10. Twelve medical camps.

11. Welfare activities: Providing educational kits, food, clothes, hygiene kits, and pecuniary aid.
