The Math centre was started in 1899 and made a branch in 1914.

Activities of the Math centre:

  1. Daily worship, religious discourses, and weekly classes.
  2. Celebration of the religious festivals like Durga Puja, Kali Puja, Nabi Day, Christmas Eve, Buddha Purnima and the birthdays of Sri Ramakrishna, Holy Mother Sri Sarada Devi and Swami Vivekananda. As in the previous years, all these functions were attended by a large number of people this year also.
  3. A publication section: It has 34 titles to its credit. 2 new and 3 reprints were brought out during the year.
  4. Publication of a Bengali quarterly, Prabodhan (2nd year; 4000 subscribers).

The Mission centre was started in 1916.

Activities of the Mission centre:

  1. A high school with 280 boys and a nursery for kids with 18 boys and 22 girls.
  2. A students’ home with 43 students.
  3. A library with 16,100 books and 57 newspapers and periodicals.
  4. A computer training centre with 282 students.
  5. An allopathic dispensary including a mobile unit, which treated 93,936 cases. 50 units of blood were collected in two blood donation camps.
  6. A summer camp attended by 800
  7. Slum development work by way of distributing reading materials, conducting religious classes and helping a local institution in running coaching centres for primary students etc.
  8. Welfare work by way of distributing blankets, providing educational, medical and pecuniary help.
