Ramakrishna Math, Thanjavur

This branch was started as a sub-centre of Ramakrishna Math, Chennai, in 2020. It became a full-fledged centre in the following year.

Activities:

• Three vocational training units with sewing & tailoring.
• Five coaching centres.
• Six Balak Sangha units.
• A public library.
• Dental and general medical camps.
• Awareness programmes on health & naturopathy; values education and motivational programmes; camps for children etc in the ashrama and Tiruvarur, Kumbakonam, Thiruthuraipoondi and other cities.
• Welfare activities: Providing food, clothes and educational aid.
• Religious activities: Daily worship and bhajans, Ramnam Sankirtan, religious discourses, celebration of major religious festivals and the birth anniversaries of the Holy Trio and other spiritual luminaries.

Mariamman Koil Rural centre:

Located at a distance of 8 km from the main centre, this ashrama was started following the takeover of Sri Ramakrishna Vivekananda Educational Trust in 2020.

Activities:

• A public library.
• Yoga, bhajans and classes on the Holy Trio were conducted and attended.
• Religious activities: Daily worship and bhajans, and celebration of the birthdays of the Holy Trio and other spiritual luminaries.
• Welfare activities: Renovation of a cowshed in the village.
