Ramakrishna Math, Thanjavur

This branch was started as a sub-centre of Ramakrishna Math, Chennai, in 2020. It became a full-fledged centre in the following year.

Activities:

1. A vocational training unit with courses in spoken English.
2. Five coaching centres.
3. Cultural activities: Personality development programmes, values education programmes, teachers’ training camps, cultural competitions, etc.
4. A public library with 325 books.
5. Medical camps: An eye camp, four dental camps, eleven general medical camps, and eleven health awareness camps in schools.
6. Welfare activities: Providing food, clothes and buttermilk.
7. Religious activities: Daily worship and bhajans, Ramnam Sankirtan, religious discourses, celebration of major religious festivals and the birth anniversaries of the Holy Trio and other spiritual luminaries.

Mariamman Koil Rural Centre: Located 8 km from the main centre, this ashrama was started following the takeover of Sri Ramakrishna Vivekananda Educational Trust in 2020.

Activities:

1. A public library with 100 books.
2. Monthly medical camps.
3. Religious activities: Celebration of the birthdays of the Holy Trio and other spiritual luminaries.
