Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Asansol

Started in 1926, this centre moved to its present premises in 1997.
Activities:

1. A secondary school (class 5 to 10) for boys.
2. A junior basic school (class 1 to 4) for boys.
3. A vocational training centre offering courses in tailoring, computer operations and several trades.
4. A hostel for boys.
5. Units of Gadadhar Abhyudaya Prakalpa.
6. A public library with books and periodicals.
7. A coaching centre.
8. An Institute of Open Schooling with classes 10 & 12, affiliated to West Bengal Rabindra Open Schooling.
9. An allopathic-cum-homeopathic dispensary, with a physiotherapy section.
10. A medical camp, and a blood donation camp.
11. Welfare activities: Distribution of food, and educational, medical and pecuniary aid.
12. Religious activities: Daily worship, religious discourses, spiritual retreat and celebration of major religious festivals and the birthdays of the Holy Trio and other spiritual luminaries.
