Started in 1926 elsewhere in Asansol, this branch centre shifted to its present site in 1997.


  • A secondary school with 673 boys.
  • Two junior basic schools with 329 boys.
  • A vocational training centre with 257 students.
  • A students’ home with 130 boys.
  • An Industrial Training Institute with 199 students.
  • A library and a reading room with 8295 books and 30 periodicals and newspapers.
  • A coaching centre with 307 students.
  • A charitable allopathic-cum-homeopathic dispensary which treated 10,322 patients and conducted two free eye camps (120 patients operated on for cataract).
  • Welfare work by way of providing scholarships, medical help and pecuniary help to the needy.
  • Religious activities: Daily worship, weekly spiritual classes, occasional lectures and observance of Durga Puja, Lakshmi Puja, Kali Puja, Saraswati Puja, Christmas Eve and the birthdays of Sri Ramakrishna, Holy Mother Sri Sarada Devi, Swami Vivekananda and other religious luminaries.
