Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Chandigarh

This centre was started in a rented house in 1956 and was moved to its own present premises in 1958.

Activities:

1. A students’ home.
2. A public library with 10,353 books and 3 periodicals.
3. A homeopathic dispensary.
4. A mobile medical unit.
5. Lectures and classes in and around Chandigarh.
6. Religious activities: Daily worship, weekly spiritual discourses, fortnightly Ramnam Sankirtan, monthly Shyamnam & Saradanam Sankirtans, occasional spiritual retreats, celebrations of the birthdays of the Holy Trio and other religious festivals.
7. Welfare work: Provided food, pecuniary aid and educational assistance.
