Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Chandigarh

This centre was started in a rented house in 1956 and was moved to its own present premises in 1958.

Activities:

• A students’ home.
• A public library.
• A homeopathic dispensary.
• Eye camps.
• Religious activities: Daily worship, spiritual discourses, Ramnam Sankirtan, spiritual retreats, celebration of the Holy Trio and other saints and prophets, weekly cultural and religious classes for children, and occasional lectures in and around Chandigarh.
• Welfare work: Provided food, pecuniary aid and educational assistance.
