Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Chapra

Ramakrishna Adbhutananda Ashrama was started in Chapra district of Bihar where Swami Adbhutananda, a monastic disciple of Sri Ramakrishna, was born. In 2003 it was taken over by the Mission and renamed Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama.

Activities:

  • A dispensary with allopathic, homeopathic and ayurvedic sections.
  • A coaching centre in ashrama campus and two coaching centres in rural areas.
  • A public library.
  • Medical camps.
  • Welfare work: Providing clothes and blankets.
  • Religious activities: Celebration of the birthdays of the Holy Trio, Swami Adbhutananda, other saints and prophets, and major religious festivals.
