The branch centre was started in 1931.
Activities at Cherrapunjee:
- Three higher secondary schools (two from nursery to class 11 and one from class 4 to 12).
- Fifteen secondary schools (14 from nursery to class 10; another from nursery to class 2 in the lower primary section and class 6 to 10 in the secondary section).
- Eleven middle schools (class 1 to 8).
- Twenty-nine lower primary schools (class 1 to 5).
- Twenty-nine pre–basic/nursery schools.
- A students’ home.
- A computer training centre.
- A public library.
- A technical school for training in weaving & tailoring at Sohra.
- A dispensary.
- Two mobile medical units.
- Two museums depicting tribal culture of north-eastern states.
- Four milk feeding centres.
- Celebration of the birthdays of the Holy Trio and major religious and local festivals at the ashrama and the two sub-centres.
Shella sub-centre : Located 50 km away from Sohra, the ashrama was started in 1924.
Activities at Shella sub-centre:
- A lower primary school, an upper primary school, a high school, and a small library.
- Celebration of the birthdays of the Holy Trio and major religious and local festivals.
Sohbarpunjee sub-centre: This sub-centre, 18 km from Sohra, was started in 1928.
Activities at Sohbarpunjee sub-centre:
- A lower primary school, an upper primary school and a high school.
- A hostel.
- Celebration of the birthdays of the Holy Trio and major religious and local festivals.
