Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Kanpur

Ramakrishna Seva Sadan, Kanpur, was started in 1920. It was made a branch of the Mission in 1931 under the name ‘Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama’. The centre moved to its present address in 1936.
Activities:

1. A secondary school (class 6 to 10).

2. A public library with 14,481 books and 36 periodicals.

3. An allopathic-cum-homeopathic dispensary.

4. Two medical camps.

5. A unit of Gadadhar Abhyudaya Prakalpa, and a coaching centre.

6. Regular values education and meditation programmes.

7. Welfare activities: Providing ration kits and winter garments.
