Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Manasadwip

Started in 1928 as a sub-centre of Contai Mission centre, it became a full-fledged branch centre of Ramakrishna Mission in 1955.

Activities:

1. A higher secondary school (class 5 to 11).

2. Two  junior basic school (class 1 to 4).

3. A hostel for boys.

4. A public library.

5. A vocational training centre for training girls in weaving and tailoring.

6. A homeopathic dispensary.

7. Weekly allopathy medical camps.

8. Thirteen eye camps.

9. A camp at the Gangasagar Mela area in which pilgrims were provided with board and lodging.

10. Welfare activities: Providing food, clothes, winter garments, educational kits, and pecuniary, medical, and educational aid.
