Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Puri

The ashrama was started in 1944.

Activities:

1. A students’ home with tribal students, who are also given training in computer operations.

2. Seven coaching centres.

3. A public library with 27,621 books and 48 periodicals.

4. Three units of Gadadhar Abhyudaya Prakalpa.

5. A mobile medical unit.

6. Welfare activities: Providing food, clothes, blankets and educational aid.

7. Religious activities: Daily worship, fortnightly Ramnam Sankirtan, spiritual discourses, and celebration of the birthdays of the Holy Trio and other religious festivals.
