Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Ramharipur

This centre in West Bengal was started in 1952 and made a branch of the Mission in 1966.

Activities:

  • A secondary school (class 5 to 10).
  • A students’ home.
  • Eight coaching centres.
  • Three non-formal education centres.
  • Seven units of Gadadhar Abhyudaya Prakalpa.
  • An allopathic-cum-homeopathic dispensary.
  • Welfare activities: Providing clothes, milk, blankets and pecuniary, medical and educational aid, as also assistance in house repair.
  • Religious activities: Daily worship, religious classes, spiritual retreats, and celebration of the birth anniversaries of the Holy Trio and major religious festivals.

Sub-centre:

Amarkanan Sri Ramakrishna Sevadal Ashrama was founded in 1924. It was taken over by the Ramakrishna Mission in 2020, renamed ‘Ramakrishna Mission’ and made a sub-centre of Ramharipur centre.

Activities:

  • A Students’ hostel.
  • A tailoring training unit.
  • A homeopathic dispensary.
  • Welfare activities: Distribution of clothes and blankets.
  • Daily worship and celebration of the birthdays of the Holy Trio.
