Ramakrishna Mission Home of Service, Varanasi

The Home was started in 1900 and made a branch of the Mission in 1902.

Activities:

• A general hospital with 153 beds and an operation theatre cum surgical block.
• An outpatient department with eye, ENT, dental, paediatric, gynaecology, neurology, physiotherapy, orthopaedic and homeopathic sections.
• Vivek Sanjivani, a telemedicine service, offering medical services (like psychiatry, gynaecology, ENT, community medicine, oncologist, and medicine) at the doorsteps of rural people.
• Two mobile medical units.
• Eye camps.
• Health awareness programmes and audio-visual programmes.
• Two old-age homes.
• Shishu Tirtha, a non-formal school and coaching centres.
• Computer training centres.
• Welfare activities: Providing food, rations, hygiene kits, educational kits and pecuniary and medical aid.
