Ramakrishna Mission Home of Service, Varanasi

The Home was started in 1900 and made a branch of the Mission in 1902.

Activities:

1. A general hospital with 175 beds and an operation theatre-cum-surgical block.

2. An outpatient department with eye, ENT, dental, paediatric, gynaecology, neurology, physiotherapy, orthopaedic and homeopathic sections.

3. Vivek Sanjivani, a telemedicine service, offering medical services (like psychiatry, gynaecology, ENT, community medicine, oncology, and medicine) at the doorsteps of rural people, conducting screening tests and offering psychiatric consultations through 9 outreach stations.

4. Two mobile medical units.

5. Forty-one eye camps.

6. Health awareness programmes and audio-visual programmes.

7. Two old-age homes.

8. Two rural units of coaching centres (Shishu Tirtha) and three units of online education centres.

9. Four computer training centres.

10. Welfare activities: Providing food, rations, hygiene kits, educational kits, and pecuniary and medical aid.
