Ramakrishna Mission Hospital, Itanagar

The centre was started in 1979 for providing medical facilities to the tribal population of Arunachal Pradesh.

Activities:

1. A 263-bed hospital with the following departments/facilities: general medicine, general surgery, obstetrics & gynaecology, urology, otorhinolaryngology, paediatrics, orthopaedics, anaesthesiology, ophthalmology, dentistry, radiology, pathology, homeopathy, mobile eye unit, dialysis unit, diagnostics, cardiology, and neurosurgery.

2. An outpatient department. TB treatment was also provided.

3. Thirty-four blood donation camps.

4. A residential school of nursing.

5. Religious activities: Celebration of the birthdays of the Holy Trio and other religious festivals.
