The centre was started in 1979 for providing medical facilities to the tribal population of Arunachal Pradesh.
Activities:
- A 263-bed hospital with the following departments/facilities: general medicine, general surgery, obstetrics & gynaecology, urology, otorhinolaryngology, paediatrics, orthopaedics, anaesthesiology, ophthalmology, dentistry, radiology, pathology, homeopathy, mobile eye unit, dialysis unit, diagnostics, cardiology, and neurosurgery.
- An outpatient department and TB treatments.
- Blood donation camps.
- A residential school of nursing.
- Religious activities: Occasional discourses, fortnightly Ramnam Sankirtan and celebration of the birthdays of the Holy Trio and other religious festivals.
